Concentric Circle

Concentric Circle

Ladies what does your concentric circle look like? What is your nucleus? What is integral in every aspect of your life? As women we take care of everything and everyone but ourselves. Have you lost sight of self-trying to make all the circles make a whole? Sometimes we need to talk about it.

As you review your circle what do you see? Do you see Christ as your center or is it mother, wife, sister, manager, the list can go on and on. Some may or may not know that Christ is who centers us. So, if you are spinning out of control, stop, focus, and look up to the hills from which cometh your help knowing your help comes from the LORD (Ps 121:1). Life is like a rollercoaster now you define the ride. Some go on the rollercoaster for the thrill, fear, and exhilaration. Some may ride a roller coaster to get over their fear of riding the roller coaster. While others are asked to come along for the ride. Whether extroverted or introverted the ride remains there as something to be conquered. It’s like that mountain blocking you from your destiny you exclaim, Lord give me the strength to climb. The thrill seeker is always on the edge and looking to push life to a new high, but the lows are inevitable on a roller coaster.

In life, we can connect the circles knowing our help comes from the LORD no matter the circumstance (Psalms 46:1-3). There are times when we may struggle because of the concentric circle parameters instead of functioning as women due to the burdens we carry, or the sum of the circle given us. Some people may get on the rollercoaster to escape and by doing that they give control over to the rollercoaster. However, Christ said cast your cares upon me for my yoke is easy and my burden is light. Matthew 11:28 - 30. The person going along on the ride is there to accompany the thrill seeker and are nourished or mentored by them to show they can do all things through Christ which strengthens them Philippians 4:13. The partnership experience allows new levels of excitement, spontaneity, or exhilaration, growth, and maturity due to coming alongside the thrill seeker. We must know that where two or three are gathered touching and agreeing Christ said he would be there also Matthew 18:20.

Finally, we have a lot of things we come up against as women and balancing our circle will allow us to have peace in the mist of storms.
