Finish The Book

Finish The Book!

A lot of the time we have good intentions whether it be a self-help book, Bible or even a pamphlet and intend to read it from cover to cover. We see how it can benefit us but after the first chapter we tend to lose interest and we put the book down. We keep our problem, we may not finish the project or neglect some of the chapters and wonder why things are not getting better. We need to finish the book.

We listen to our friends and family and as they all share the stories of overcoming or having that comical moment or serious reflection about the book. We cannot identify any of the points because they finished the book. Finish the book.

You are having health issues and your doctor recommends you purchase a book to better understand your challenges. You purchase the book and set it on the shelf and wonder what’s happening with you. Finish the book!

Your child brings you a book to read to them at bedtime and you read it for the first two or three nights and the child values the time spent with you. Then you decide to stop reading them bedtime stories. Finish the book! For you will never be able to get those times back.

If you finish the book, you will find that we have all sinned and come short of the glory of God. You will read that if you sin you have an advocate. You will read that he is coming again to receive us unto himself, we don’t have to suffer. Unless we don’t read the book. Read the book!

Now may be time for you to go blow the dust off the book, turn off the TV and read the entire book!
